Here are the latest local updates on how the coronavirus outbreak is impacting Lemont.
LEMONT, IL — The new coronavirus outbreak in Illinois and across the country is having vast impacts in Lemont, including the closure of several local businesses, the library, park district and schools.
As of Monday, the number of cases in Illinois is 5,057 and 73 people have died from the coronavirus. Public health officials released a map showing the locations of all confirmed cases of the new coronavirus in suburban Cook County. There are 1,346 confirmed cases in suburban Cook County, and 24 deaths.
In Lemont, the Cook County Department of Public Health is reporting there are 10 cases.

Governor JB Pritzker has also issued a stay-at-home order in effect until at least April 7. With this order, only essential businesses like grocery stores, pharmacies, gas stations and restaurants offering carry-out services can remain open.

HOSPITALS
Silver Cross Hospital is accepting supply donations of N95 and surgical procedure masks, Nitrile procedure gloves, hand sanitizer, grocery, gas or restaurant gift cards for employees, and bleach wipes. MORE.
A 65-year-old Lemont woman died March 26 at the University of Chicago Medical Center. The woman's address was listed on Franciscan Drive, an address associated with Franciscan Village, which is an assisted and independent senior living facility in Lemont. MORE.
CANCELLATIONS/CLOSURES
The Archdiocese of Chicago has suspended all normal religious services, which includes celebrations for Easter Week. The services are canceled until further notice. The Islamic Foundation of the Southwest Suburbs has also suspended its Friday services. MORE.
Lemont Park District programs have been canceled and all facilities are closed through at least April 7. All playgrounds are also closed. The park district has also rescheduled the Quarryman Challenge until November. MORE.
Lemont Public Library is closed through April 7. All materials will not be due until after the library reopens. MORE.
