Well No. 4 In Lemont Still Undergoing Repairs
The well has now been pulled out of the ground, and will be inspected by the professional service.
LEMONT, IL — Well No. 4 is still undergoing maintenance after it started having issues last month. After losing power in March, testing was done above the well, but no issues were found, and a professional service was called to pull the well out of the ground.
The well, located on Houston Street, pumps less than the larger capacity wells. The well is 1,100 feet under the surface.
At Monday's Village Board meeting, Public Works Director Ralph Pukula said the well has now been pulled.

"All of the equipment has been brought back to the shop, where the contractor inspects it and comes up with a plan to figure out what's wrong and what needs to be replaced," Pukula said.
"All I know is that the main power wire that runs down to the motor in the hole [of the well] has to be replaced," he added.
