With All Precincts Reporting, Voters Reject District 113A Referendum

Lemont residents voted Tuesday on proposed $20 million working cash bond referendum for Lemont-Bromberek Combined School District 113A.

With all precincts reporting, voters have rejected the $20 million working cash referendum proposed by .

According to unofficial results from Cook and DuPage counties, 3,348 (55 percent) of the votes were against the referendum, while 2,735 (45 percent) of the votes were in favor.

In DuPage County, 505 (58.8 percent) of the votes were against the referendum, and 354 votes (41.2 percent) were in favor. The margin was slightly narrower in Cook County, where 2,843 (54.4 percent) were cast against the referendum and 2,381 ballots (45.6 percent) were cast in favor.
