Court Date Pushed Back For Man Accused In Fatal Shooting Of Company Co-Founder
The co-founder of a suburban transportation company was killed in the shooting outside a home in Kenosha, Wisconsin, in November.
The court date for a Lake County man accused of lying in wait outside a Kenosha, Wisconsin, home before opening fire on three people as they walked toward a vehicle, killing one and injuring another, has been pushed back.
Kamryn G. Harris, 23, of Zion, is charged with first-degree intentional homicide, attempted first-degree intentional homicide and other felonies in connection with the Nov. 21, 2025, shooting in the 3300 block of 24th Avenue in Kenosha.
Police were called to the home at about 6:35 p.m. for a report of shots fired. The first officer on scene found two people standing near a Dodge Durango in the driveway and a third man lying face down near the back door of the residence, according to the complaint.

The man on the ground, later identified as Christian Davis, 47, had suffered a gunshot wound to the back just below his right shoulder blade. Officers attempted CPR until paramedics arrived, but Davis, the co-founder of Lombard-based Trifecta Transport, was later pronounced dead, according to the criminal complaint.
A motive has not yet been released in the case. Kenosha Police Lt. Adam Jurgens said authorities cannot provide any more details into the case, or answer any specific questions regarding a possible motive as "providing this information could jeopardize the ability of the district attorney's office to prosecute Mr. Harris."

A preliminary hearing, which was originally scheduled for Thursday, has been pushed back until April 16, according to online court records.
More Details Released Into Shooting
Investigators said another victim in the shooting had a cut near his eye but was not hit by the gunfire.
Police found multiple bullet holes on the driver’s side of the Durango. Investigators believe one of the victims was attempting to get into the driver’s seat when the gunfire erupted, according to the complaint.
Surveillance video from the home captured the shooting, according to the complaint. Investigators say the footage shows Harris crouched in front of the Durango as the three exited the house and walked toward the vehicle.
Harris then fired multiple shots toward two of the victims until the handgun appeared to jam, investigators said. Davis retreated toward the house before collapsing near the back door.
Video from nearby cameras shows a white Jeep Grand Cherokee leaving the area shortly after the shooting. The vehicle, which reported stolen from Waukegan months earlier, was later located at an apartment complex in Kenosha, according to the complaint.
Investigators say Harris was seen on surveillance video getting out of the Jeep in the hour before the shooting and walking up the driveway and then back to the Jeep, according to the criminal complaint. The video shows him again walking up the driveway at 6:33 p.m.
If convicted on the homicide charge, Harris faces a mandatory life sentence in prison. Additional penalty enhancers were filed alleging he used a dangerous weapon and had a prior felony conviction.
Davis was the co-founder of Trifecta Transport, a trucking brokerage company, which is based in Lombard. He was born in Chicago and graduated from Northridge Preparatory School in Niles, where he served as senior class president, according to his obituary.
He was described as "full of life, charisma, charm, action-packed leadership, smarts and magnanimous."
Authorities have said the shooting was a targeted attack but no specific motive has been released. Patch.com reached out to Kenosha police regarding their investigation into this case, but has not yet heard back
Harris made an initial court appearance in Kenosha County on March 11 where a $2 million cash bail was set. He remains in custody as of Tuesday morning.
