• Hike Lake County highlights local history (shawlocal.com) — Libertyville hikers can join the Hike Lake County program now through November, with one of the featured routes at Independence Grove and prize pickup available at the Winchester Road offices in town. Complete at least seven designated trails to earn a commemorative medallion, and even register your dog for a special collar tag while exploring local history-themed routes.
