Boy, 13, Arrested After Jr High Threats: Police
The Montgomery teen is charged in connection with threats at Thompson Junior High.

MONTGOMERY, IL — A day after Oswego police reported an unrelated email threat at Thompson Junior High, officials say a Montgomery boy is charged in connection with two new incidents at the school. Police said the boy, 13, was arrested Friday afternoon at the school, 440 Boulder Hill Pass, after reported disorderly conduct incidents that happened Thursday and Friday morning.
In both incidents, police say witnesses reported hearing the student make verbal threats to harm a school administrator. Oswego police and District 308 officials identified the student in question as a teen from Montgomery.

Police said the boy was taken into custody at around 1:40 p.m. Friday. The Kendall County State's Attorney's Office approved two felony disorderly conduct charges against the teen, who was taken to the Kane County Juvenile Justice Center to await a juvenile court date.

The Oswego Police Department said it continues to investigate a separate incident that occurred Thursday morning at the school and urges anyone with information on any of these incidents or other suspicious circumstances to call the Oswego Police Department at 630-551-7300. Alternatively, anonymous reports can be made to Kendall Crime Stoppers at 630-553-5999, where tips leading to arrests may receive a cash reward of up to $1,000.
