Child Luring Attempt? Police Seek Suspicious Driver
The man approached children Thursday afternoon and asked them to come closer to his truck.

OSWEGO, IL — Oswego police want to talk to the driver of a white pickup truck that was reportedly involved in "suspicious circumstances" on Thursday. Police said they were dispatched to the Blackberry Knoll subdivision at around 9 p.m. Thursday for an incident that happened around 5:40 p.m. on Grape Vine Trail.
Police said a man driving a pickup truck in the 400 block of Grape Vine Trail stopped his vehicle in front of a home while children were playing in the yard. He asked the kids to come closer to the truck so he could speak with them, according to police.
The children refused to approach the truck, and the man drove away. "Police would like to speak to the driver and are asking the public for assistance in possibly identifying the driver and/or truck," Oswego police said in a news release.
