Man Who Dealt Cocaine in Montgomery Area Gets 6 Years in Prison

He will be required to serve two years of mandatory supervised release after he serves his six year prison sentence.

OSWEGO, IL — A 33-year-old Aurora man who sold cocaine in the Montgomery and Oswego area was sentenced to six years in prison.

Taurean Buck, 33, of the 1100 block of N. Ohio Street in Aurora, was charged with delivering cocaine to an undercover police officer working with the Kendall County Cooperative Police Assistance Team on three occasions between March and April of 2016, according to Kendall County State’s Attorney Eric Weis. These transactions took place in both the Montgomery and Oswego area. When Buck was arrested, he was found with over $1,600 in cash on his person, Weis said. These drug proceeds and other items were later forfeited pursuant to the drug asset forfeiture laws.

Buck will be required to serve 2 years of mandatory supervised release after he serves his six year prison sentence. Buck has a history of prior drug-related felony offenses, which have included several sentences to the Illinois Department of Corrections, Weis said. The case was prosecuted by Assistant State’s Attorney Frank S.

Buck has been in custody since his arrest back in April of this year.
