Water Rescue After Domestic Incident In Montgomery: Report

A woman was hospitalized after being in a residential pond for a short time early Monday morning.

MONTGOMERY, IL — A woman was reportedly rescued from a pond in the 3000 block of Troon Drive shortly after midnight Monday following a domestic situation. While Bristol-Kendall firefighters responded to a call for a water rescue, the woman was actually pulled from the water by Montgomery police, according to WSPY.

The woman was in the water for a "short time" following a domestic incident, and was out of the water when firefighters arrived on the scene, officials told WSPY.

Montgomery Police Chief Daniel Meyers did not respond to requests from Patch seeking additional information on Monday but told WSPY that police pulled the woman out of the pond after they responded to a report of a suicidal woman in need of medical assistance. She was reportedly unhurt.
