The Biggest, Best Halloween Show Set to Music You'll Find on a Quiet Suburban Street

Naperville's Nick Thomas and Steve Jandick have outdone themselves.

The Thomas family’s Naperville home again has become the spooky and entertaining epicenter of the Chicago area.

For the last 15 years, Nick Thomas and his friend Steve Jandick have turned Halloween into an extra-special treat for anyone who passes by. The house at 1127 Conan Doyle Drive in the Ashbury neighborhood is decorated to the horrific hilt. The ghoulish setup is accompanied by music and a light show, too, that just can’t be beat.

Thomas handles the display. Jandick, who joined forces with Thomas when he was the 10-year-old neighbor kid in 1999, is in charge of music and lights. Jandick also puts the videos on YouTube, which caught the attention of NBC’s Today show, ABC’s Good Morning America and the Headline News Network.

“It’s a combination of two crazy people,” Jandick told TODAY.com.

Thousands of people flock to the house each Halloween season. This year, Thomas and Jandick are asking folks for a donation — not for themselves, however. They are raising money for Gigi’s Playhouse, a Down syndrome achievement center.
