NAPERVILLE, IL — The number of new coronavirus inpatients at Edward Hospital in Naperville is on the decline again after a recent surge, according to information from hospital spokesperson Keith Hartenberger. At press time, Edward Hospital is treating four inpatients with coronavirus.

The new numbers reflect a large decrease in coronavirus patients at Edward Hospital. As of Wednesday, the hospital was treating 15 coronavirus inpatients. Nine patients who recovered from coronavirus were discharged in the last 72 hours, Hartenberger said Monday.

As of June 1, there were 29 inpatients with coronavirus in treatment at the hospital.

Since March 24, 438 patients have recovered from coronavirus and been discharged from Edward Hospital, according to Hartenberger. In total, there have been 46 coronavirus-related deaths at the facility.
