Police Investigate 3rd Serious Motorcycle Crash In Naperville
Police are investigating three serious crashes — one fatal — that took place over the weekend.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Police in Naperville say they are investigating the third serious crash involving a motorcycle that took place over the weekend. The most recent collision took place late Saturday when a motorcycle driven by a Lisle man crashed into a car driven by a Naperville woman near the intersection of 75th and Modaff Rd. The crash sent the bike's driver and passenger, a Darien woman, to the hospital with serious injuries, police say.
According to police, Christopher Vandervalk, 25, was driving his Harley Davidson east on 75th when he allegedly drove through a red light. The motorcycle then hit a 30-year-old Naperville woman's Volkswagen, which was turning left onto Modaff from 75th.
Vandervalk and his passenger, a 24-year-old female, were rushed to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. The intersection was closed until 4 a.m. as police and crash experts worked to reconstruct the collision.
