Sandra Bland Jail Booking Footage Released
The footage shows the 28-year-old woman during the booking process and dispels rumors she was dead in her mugshot.
With rumors circulating around the Internet that 28-year-old Sandra Bland already was dead in her booking photo, Texas officials have released footage showing Bland walking around while she was in the jail, according to ABC 7 Chicago.
In the footage, Bland is seen wiping away tears, making phone calls and being directed into her jail cell.

Waller County Judge Trey Duhon said it was important for officials to release this information because of death threats they had been receiving and to put a rest to rumors Bland was dead in her booking photo.

Bland was arrested July 10 for allegedly kicking an officer. She was initially pulled over for a traffic violation. She was found dead in her cell July 13. The official ruling for her death has been self-inflicted asphyxiation.
Bland’s funeral was held Saturday in Lisle. Hundreds of mourners gathered to pay their respects to Bland.
