After Toddler Injured in Morton Grove Hit-and-Run, Suspect Charged

MORTON GROVE, IL - A Des Plaines woman charged with leaving the scene of an accident after she allegedly drove off the roadway and hit a house and a family of three Wednesday morning around the 8500 block of Menard Avenue is being held without bond Friday, according to the Journal & Topics.

The woman has been identified by Morton Grove police as 54-year-old Yogini Tailor of Des Plaines, and charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, according to the Journal.

The father struck in the accident underwent surgery Thursday and remained hospitalized Friday morning, while the 2-year-old and her mother were released from an area hospital Thursday, police told the newspaper.
