VIDEO: Notre Dame Falls to Joliet Catholic in Week 2

Offensive miscues for the Dons, high-powered ground game for the Hilltoppers lead to 35-0 Joliet Catholic win

Joliet Catholic entered week two ranked as the 5th best team in the Chicagoland area by the Sun Times.  quickly found out why.  The Hilltoppers backfield tandem of Ty Issac and Malin Jones combined to score all six of Joliet Catholic's touchdowns en route to a 42-0 victory over the Dons in an East Suburban Catholic Conference game Friday night.

Notre Dame managed to move the ball on several occasions, but proved to be their own worst enemy, turning the ball over three times on what looked to be scoring drives in the first half.

The Hilltoppers turned two of those turnovers into touchdowns.  On the first play after an interception, Issac rumbled 81 yards for a touchdown.  He had 172 yards on 10 carries.  Later in the first half, Jones caught a 51-yard touchdown pass from Craig Slowik following a Notre Dame turnover on downs.  That touchdown put the Hilltoppers ahead 21-0 with under a minute to play in the first half.
