Voters' Endorsement is What Counts
Check the facts: Staackmann endorsement not what it appears to be.
What is the Illinois Committee for Honest Government? The only thing I have ever heard about them is they endorse Dan Staackmann every time he runs for office. A quick google search reveals that the committee does not have a website or a phone number. The State Board of Elections shows almost all of their contributions come from political groups, with no activity since 2011. The committee lists its address at 6201 W. Touhy #201, which is leased by Frank B. Avila, an attorney who often represents politicians and political groups. I called him and asked him if he spoke with anyone other than Mr. Staackmann before making this endorsement. He refused to answer me.
Like the Independent Party candidates, the Illinois Committee for Honest Government is not what it seems. They both think they can fool voters with lofty sounding names, but once you look closely, there is nothing there. Morton Grove voters are smarter than that. Voters see Mayor DiMaria listening to residents at town hall and neighborhood meetings. We see him attending almost every community event. We see all the positive changes in our Village under Mayor DiMaria’s leadership. We see the negative, false and skewed information coming from the Independent Party.
The only endorsement that matters in this election is from Morton Grove voters. We, the voters, gave Mr. Staackmann a chance in 2009 and overwhelmingly voted him out of office four years later. I am a Morton Grove voter and Dan DiMaria and the Action Party have my full endorsement.
