Car Stolen After Test Drive With Resident: Blotter
A resident took an 'interested buyer' for a test drive in their car, but the person stole the vehicle: Northbrook Police Blotter.

NORTHBROOK, IL — The following information comes from the Northbrook Police Department and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.
ARRESTS
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
- Wyatt R. Wilson, 25, of the 600 block of Sangamon Avenue, Rantoul, is accused of driving under the influence, speeding, improper lane usage, no insurance and was arrested at 10:54 p.m. Dec. 23, 2020 at Willow and Shermer roads. He was released after posting $2,500 bond, and was assigned a court date of Feb. 8.
- Lisa Ann Johnson, 54, of the 700 block of Skokie Boulevard, Northbrook, is accused of driving under the influence, improper lane usage, improper parking on the roadway, and was arrested at 12:52 p.m. Dec. 27, 2020, in the 500 block of Dundee Road. She was released after posting a $1,000 bond, and was assigned a court date of Feb. 8.
SUSPENDED DRIVER'S LICENSE

Alvin Samuel, 20, of the E Dundee Quarters, Palatine, is accused of driving while license suspended, speeding, and was arrested at 12:06 a.m. Dec. 24, 2020, at Dundee and Charlemagne roads. He was released after posting $2,500 bond, and was assigned a court date of Feb. 8.
NO DRIVER'S LICENSE

Martin H. Hernandez, 31, of the 1300 block of Dodge Avenue, Evanston, is accused of no driver's license (expired over a year), expired registration, no insurance, and was arrested at 9:59 p.m. Dec. 28 at Willow and Sunset Ridge roads. He was released after posting a $2,500 bond, and was assigned a court date of Feb. 3.
INCIDENTS
CUSTOMER DISPUTE
A bus driver called police on Dec. 24 to report that a customer was refusing to pay for their ride and get off the bus in the 1500 block of Lake Cook Road. The customer departed the bus after speaking with a bus company supervisor and officers.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
A resident in the 2900 block of Acorn Lane reported at 5:43 p.m. Dec. 25, 2020, that someone broke a Christmas decoration light which was on their garage.
STOLEN VEHICLE
A resident of the 2300 block of Oak Avenue called police at 1:21 p.m. Dec. 26, 2020, to report that they had taken a test drive of their vehicle with a male who was interested in buying the vehicle that they had advertised for sale. The two agreed on a price, then the complainant stated that while they went into their residence to retrieve the title for the vehicle, the male drove away with the vehicle without completing the sale.
SUSPICIOUS PERSON
A resident in the 3700 block of Riviera Court reported at 7:43 p.m. Dec. 26, 2020, an unknown male, who identified themselves as being a gas company employee, was walking around their home. The officer responded and verified that the male was looking for a natural gas leak and verified their identity as a gas company employee.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES
An employee at Cove School, 300 block of Lee Road, called police to report that a package typically hand-delivered to another employee was delivered at a time when no employees were present to receive the package between Dec. 24-27, 2020. The complainant stated that the package still has not been located as of the filing of this report.
IDENTITY THEFT
Officers took phone calls from eight residents regarding being notified by either their respective employers or the Illinois Department of Employment Security that their information had been used without their permission to file for unemployment benefits.
THEFT
An employee at Lord & Taylor, 1400 block of Lake Cook Road, called police to report someone removed four chairs and two shoe racks from the store without permission between 1:40-2:30 p.m. Dec. 30, 2020.
