Caregiver Accused of Stealing Jewelry From Northbrook Home

NORTHBROOK, IL - A 34-year-old Chicago woman who served as a caretaker for a Northbrook resident has been charged with residential burglary after police accused her of stealing jewelry from the home where she worked over a span of several months.

Zeinab N. Awoseyila surrendered herself at the Northbrook police station on Oct. 20, according to police.

Police said she was identified as the caretaker who stole numerous items of jewelry from the victim's residence in the 1-100 block of Court of Harbinger Falls over a period of several months, beginning in December of 2015.
