NORTHBROOK, IL — The following information comes from the Northbrook Police Department as a record of incidents reported to the police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

INCIDENTS

CAR BURGLARY
A phone charger was stolen from a car left unlocked in the 1800 block of Smith Road at some point prior to 6:45 p.m. Nov. 7.

RETAIL THEFT
An unidentified man or boy stole a pack of cigarettes from the Mobil station at 1103 Waukegan Road.

HOME BURGLARY
Someone burglarized a home in the 1800 block of Thornwood Lane during the daylight hours of Nov. 3, stealing a bag of gold and silver coins.

ARRESTS

Magdalena J. Korsak, 38, of the 500 block of Crystal Place, Gurnee, was charged with retail theft around noon on Nov. 8 at the Northbrook Court Neiman Marcus after police learned she tried to steal various items without paying for various concealed items.

A 44-year-old Northbrook man was arrested around 7:15 p.m. on Nov. 12 and charged with driving with a suspended license and an expired license plate following a traffic stop in the 900 block of Dell Road.

Zachary Rodriguez, 18, of the 7000 block of Emerson Street, Morton Grove, was charged with theft around 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 11 at the UPS facility at 2525 Shermer Road after police were told he put several items in a backpack in an attempt to steal someone else's property.
