Home Burglar Breaks In Through Window: Northbrook Police Blotter
Recent incidents reported by the Northbrook Police Department.

NORTHBROOK, IL — The following information comes from the Northbrook Police Department as a record of incidents reported to the police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.
INCIDENTS
HOME BURGLARY
A resident in the 200 block of Constance Lane reported around 10:15 p.m. on Aug. 3 that they had just returned home to find a window on the first floor open. Family members discovered the home had been ransacked and various personal items of unspecified value had been stolen during an unspecified time frame.
THEFT OF LOST OR MISLAID PROPERTY
At 2 p.m. on Aug. 2, a resident reported they dropped their cell phone while waiting for the train in the 1400 block of Shermer Road. Someone later picked it up and the resident came to the station to report its theft.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE
Someone scratched a vehicle parked in the 1500 block of Lake Cook Road between 11 a.m. July 29 and 10:30 a.m. Aug. 2, causing unspecified damage.
THEFT
Police were told around 2:15 p.m. on Aug. 8 that someone had stolen various landscaping tools with unspecified value from inside a trailer in the 3300 block of Sunset Trail.
