Multiple Reports Of Eggs Thrown At Cars, Biz: Northbrook PD Blotter
The separate incidents occurred over the course of three days, according to police.

NORTHBROOK, IL — The following information comes from the Northbrook Police Department and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.
ARRESTS
DRUG POSSESSION
Quinton M. Jones, of Gary, Indiana, is accused of speeding, driving while using an electronic device, driving while license suspended, open transportation of alcohol, obstructing identification, possession of cannabis, possession of controlled substance, possession with the intent to deliver, and was arrested at 3:50 a.m. Nov. 28, at Willow Road and the Tri-State Tollway. Police initially pulled Jones over for speeding (62 mph in a 40 mph zone). They also noticed him holding a cellphone while driving. Jones reportedly first identified himself with a commercial driver’s license with a fake name. Jones was later identified, and his real Indiana driver’s license was suspended. When Jones consented to a search of his vehicle, the officer found unsealed containers of cannabis, several clear baggies, a scale, and an open bottle of liquor. During a search of Jones, the officer found white rock-like substances that tested positive for containing crack cocaine. A court date had not yet been set at the time of the report.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO VEHICLE

- A citizen reported at 4:10 p.m. Nov. 23, that while driving along Pfingsten Road and Prince Street, someone from a passing vehicle threw eggs on to his vehicle. The offender fled the area.
- A citizen called police at 6:18 p.m. Nov. 25, to report that while driving along Canterbury Drive and Pfingsten Road, someone threw an egg at her vehicle. She thought it was thrown from another vehicle, but she was not certain.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
The staff at a business in the 1300 block of Shermer Road reported at 10:51 p.m. Nov. 24, someone had thrown eggs on their building three times this week. Each time it happened, a vehicle has been seen driving away.
THEFT
- A complainant reported at 8:28 a.m. Nov. 25, that she accidentally left her purse on the floor by her dining table while staying at a hotel in the 900 block of Skokie Boulevard. When she later realized she left it there, she returned to the dining hall to retrieve it, but it was gone. She asked the staff if they had seen her purse, but no one knew where it was.
- A resident in the 2200 block of Chestnut Street called police at 11:56 a.m. Nov. 25, to report she waited for the delivery driver to arrive so she could meet him to receive her packages. As she was exiting the house, a gold sedan pulled up and met the delivery driver by his truck at the end of the driveway. The delivery driver handed the unknown female two packages and she sped off. When the complainant met with the delivery driver, she asked for the packages that were in her husband’s name. The driver said the female he gave the packages to told him that she was the girlfriend of the homeowner and that she could take the packages. The complainant explained she and her husband did not know who the female was and that a theft had occurred.
- A Techny Road resident reported at 8:36 p.m. Nov. 29, he had ordered clothing to be delivered to a relative’s address. When he received notice that the package was delivered, he advised his relative to retrieve it in the mailroom of her building. Yet, they soon realized that someone had stolen the package before they could retrieve it.
- A complainant reported at 9:56 a.m. Nov. 30, he left a check for one of his staff members in the mailbox in the 1200 block of Lee Road. Yet, when the employee went to retrieve it, the check had been stolen.
RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE
Police responded to a parking lot in the 2200 block of Founders Drive at 3:33 a.m. Nov. 26, because a vehicle was left there with its doors open. No one was around the vehicle, and the officers called the owner. He stated he had no idea his vehicle was gone from his residence in Chicago and someone had stolen it. The vehicle was recovered and returned to the owner.
MULTIPLE BURGLARIES TO VEHICLES
Police received multiple calls from residents in the eastern area of Northbrook about seeing two unknown subjects pulling on the door handles of cars in the earlier morning. Officers met with several vehicle owners on the east side of Northbrook that had their unlocked cars rummaged through and various items taken.
FLEEING AND ELUDING
Police attempted to find a white Jeep at 2 p.m. Nov. 28, that was previously reported as a vehicle used in prescription fraud cases in other towns. When the officer saw the vehicle, he saw it disobey a traffic control signal. The officer activated his emergency lights, but the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed.
BURGLARY
A complainant called police at 2:36 p.m. Nov. 28, to report someone stole sunglasses and her phone charger from her unlocked vehicle while it was parked in her parking garage in the 700 block of Skokie Boulevard. She also noticed someone had stolen her golf bag from her storage locker near the vehicle.
