Northbrook Man Who Was Passenger in Drunk Driving Crash Has Died
The crash occurred on Monday just blocks from the man's home.

An elderly Northbrook man who a neighbor said had been seriously ill for several years died Friday night, four days after he was a passenger in a drunk driving crash a few blocks from his home.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office confirmed Saturday the death of Seymour Laurie, 88, of the 4500 block of Lindenwood Lane, the night before of multiple injuries at Lutheran General Hospital, according to the Northbrook Star.

Laurie was a passenger in a car driven by Dagva Purevnanzad, 58, Skokie when it crashed at Sanders Road and Commercial Avenue on Monday. Purevnanzad was charged with felony drunken driving and was injured in the incident. No other injuries were reported, but reports indicate Purevnanzad’s vehicle had rear-ended another.
