NORTHBROOK, IL — The following information comes from the Northbrook Police Department and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

INCIDENTS

THEFT
A person at the North Suburban YMCA , 2705 Techny Road, reported around 8:30 p.m. on Feb. 13 that someone had stolen their wallet from inside an unlocked locker.

FRAUD
A resident in the 600 block of Dundee Road reported around noon on Feb. 14 that someone in Missouri had fraudulently used checks issued from their account.

ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE
Staff at the BP, 1998 Willow Road, reported around 10:15 p.m. on Feb. 15 that the driver of an SUV drove away from the gas pump with the nozzle still inside.

THEFT
A resident in the 2500 block of Burgundy Lane reported around 9 a.m. on Feb. 16 that items were missing from their bedroom closet after workers had recently been in their home.

SHOPLIFTING ATTEMPT
Staff at the Northbrook Court Louis Vuitton reported around 12:45 p.m. on Feb. 17 that they encountered one male and one female visitor to the store carrying a bag in a storage room of the store. When the store employee asked the couple if they could be of assistance, the woman or girl dropped the bag and both people fled the store on foot, police were told.

STOLEN STICKER
Someone stole a registration sticker from a car parked in the 2900 block of Acorn Lane at some point prior to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 18.

GAS THEFT
Someone drove away from the BP gas station at 4095 Dundee Road without paying for about $23 worth of gas prior to 3:45 p.m. on Feb. 18.

PACKAGE PIRACY
Staff at the UPS Store, 2720 Dundee Road, reported around 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 19 that a customer notified them a package sent from that location was empty upon arrival at its destination.

ARRESTS

A 40-year-old Waukegan woman was arrested around 4 p.m. on Feb. 14 in the 1200 block of Techny Road and charged with driving with a revoked license following a traffic stop for an unspecified violation. Police also learned she had an outstanding arrest warrant issued by Lake County authorities in 2010, which records show stemmed from a guilty plea to a charge of attempted possession of a fraudulent identification card.

A 19-year-old East Chicago, Indiana, man was issued a local ordinance citation for soliciting in the 3600 block of Indian Wells Lane without a valid permit shortly after 4 p.m. on Feb. 15. Officers were called to the area by a resident who reported someone was trying to sell them restaurant discount cards.

Khrystyne Solodenko, 41, of the 800 block of Trace Drive, Buffalo Grove, was arrested around Dundee Road and Milwaukee Avenue around 2:45 a.m. on Feb. 16 and charged with driving under the influence after police pulled her over for an unspecified traffic violation. She was also issued speeding and no insurance citations.

A 39-year-old Northbrook man was arrested around 8 p.m. on Feb. 19 and charged with driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop over an equipment violation in the area of Dundee Road and Hawthorne Lane. He was also issued a citation for driving with expired registration.
