AT&T Workers Nabbed For Soliciting Without Permit: Northbrook Police Blotter

After responding to a complaint, police found the pair on the sidewalk in the 800 block of Sanders Road.

NORTHBROOK, IL — The following information comes from the Northbrook Police Department and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

ARRESTS

UNLAWFUL SOLICITATION WITHOUT PERMIT

Alex A. Hernandez, of Houston, Texas, and Devon C. Cabrere, of Naperville, are accused of not obtaining a permit before going door-to-door soliciting for a business, and were arrested at 2:17 p.m. March 21, in the 800 block of Sanders Road. According to police, the pair were soliciting for AT&T without a permit. After the complainant called police, the officer found the defendants walking on the sidewalk. A court date of April 20 was assigned.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Rahul Joshi, of Wheeling, is accused of improper lane usage, driving under the influence, DUI combination with drugs, and was arrested at 11:09 p.m. March 21, in the 4000 block of Dundee Road. A court date of April 22 was assigned.

VIOLATION OF AN ORDER OF PROTECTION

Yadamkhuu Narangeral, of Northbrook, is accused of violating an order of protection, and was arrested at 4:56 a.m. March 26. Police had responded to a home becaused Narangeral had reportedly become very intoxicated, which was in violation to an order of protection that was served to him on March 3. A court date of March 27 was assigned.

INCIDENTS

UNLAWFUL USE OF CREDIT CARD

A Lexington Court resident reported at 12:52 p.m. March 24, her credit card company had contacted her because of several suspicious charges on her credit card. Several unauthorized charges throughout February were placed on her card totaling $5,485.41. The credit card company cancelled the credit card is investigating the matter.

FLEEING AND ELUDING

Police saw a Nissan SUV with stolen license plates at 8:34 p.m. March 25, at Willow and Landwehr roads. An officer activated his emergency lights and tried stopping the vehicle, which then accelerated to 60 mph in a 30 mph zone, while also swerving lane to lane. Police last saw the vehicle getting on to the Edens Expressway.

THEFT OF PACKAGE

A resident of the 1400 block of Shermer Road reported at 10:46 p.m. March 25, someone had opened the Amazon delivery that was dropped off in the common area of his apartment building. The person stole the ring that was inside and rewrapped the box to make it appear unopened.
