Oak Forest Names Patrick Duffy Fire Chief

The city of Oak Forest approved the appointment of Patrick Duffy as its fire chief.

OAK FOREST, IL -- Patrick Duffy has been selected to be the next Oak Forest fire chief. The appointment of Duffy to succeed Jack Janozik was made official at the June 27 City Council meeting, according to a news release.

Duffy was most recently the deputy fire chief of the Oak Forest Department, for which he has served in one capacity or another since 1989.

In the deputy chief role, Duffy was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the fire department and "enhanced the life-safety inspection process by including on-duty firefighters so that they could meet business owners, review each facility’s layout, and identify the location of alarm panels and sprinkler system controls," the release stated.
