Teen Charged With Shooting Juvenile 13 Times
Prosecutors allege that Adrian Simpson shot a juvenile victim 13 times near an Oak Forest apartment building on June 28.

OAK FOREST, IL -- A 16-year-old boy from Oak Forest has been charged as an adult in a shooting that wounded a juvenile victim near an apartment building at Thomas and Corey lanes in June. Adrian Simpson was arrested last week and ordered held on a $600,000 bond on charges of attempted murder and aggravated battery with a firearm in the incident, according to a report from the Daily Southtown.
Prosecutors allege Simpson shot the victim 13 times around 11:25 p.m. on June 28. Another unidentified person was involved in the shooting, reports indicate.

Police found 16 40-caliber shell casings and one 9 mm shell casing at the scene, information from court records show. Oak Forest police have not released any information on their part of the investigation, which Police Chief Tim Kristin said Monday is ongoing.
