Chuck E. Cheese Ejectee Afraid of Non-Existent Warrant Gives Cops Fake Name: Police
Oak Lawn police confirm there was no warrant for Chicago man's arrest, charge him with obstructing identification.

A Chicago man ejected from Chuck E. Cheese gave a fake name and birthdate to police because he thought he was wanted on a warrant, reports said.
Oak Lawn police responded to the restaurant at 4031 W. 95th St. in response to a disturbance around 3:40 p.m. Feb. 7.
According to police, a man later identified as Joseph E. Davis, 21, got into a verbal argument with another family member and management asked him to leave. Davis, however, refused to leave and gave a false name to the off-duty Oak Lawn police officer working security.

A check on the false name and birthdate was completed but came back unfounded, reports said.
When police were unable to identify Davis, he was brought to the Oak Lawn police station. His fingerprints were sent to the FBI and his true identify was established.

Davis apparently thought there was an active warrant out for his arrest. Oak Lawn police were able to confirm with the Chicago Police Department that Davis was not wanted, reports said.
Davis was charged with obstructing identification. He has a court hearing at Bridgeview on Feb. 23.
