Car Hits Garage In Orland Park, 1 Injured: Fire District

ORLAND PARK, IL — One person suffered minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital after a car crashed into a garage in Orland Park Friday afternoon, the Orland Fire Protection District said.

ABC7 news choppers captured the scene Friday afternoon. A black car appeared to have struck the attached garage of a home at 151st and 80th Avenue around 2:40 p.m. A second person at the scene refused transport, the Orland Fire Protection District said.

Orland firefighters were called to secure the structure for safe removal of the vehicle, the fire district said.

A second, red car was seen near a church nearby, with front-end damage.

The circumstances leading up to the incident were not immediately clear; Patch has contacted the Orland Fire Protection District spokesperson for additional information.
