Bird Nest Causes Small Porch Fire

MONTGOMERY, IL — A small bird nest on a porch light caused a fire in the 2500 block of Shauna Drive in Montgomery, according to the Oswego Fire Protection District.

Firefighters were called to the home at 11:12 p.m. Friday, April 15. Crews found a small fire on the outside of a front porch. The fire was quickly put out with a pressurized water extinguisher.

The fire did not travel into the home. No injuries were reported.
