Masked Men Hold Up Gas Station: Police

OSWEGO, IL — Police are looking for information in regards to an armed robbery that occurred at around 11 p.m. Dec. 22.

According to police, two men entered the Gas Mart USA located at 2501 Light Road in unincorporated Oswego armed with a handgun.

The first man was described as wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, khaki colored pants, white and black Nike gym shoes, a gray colored hat and a white mask. The man is believed to be Hispanic or light-skinned African American and approximately 5’8’’ and 175 pounds.

The second man was described as wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt, dark colored pants, gym shoes and a dark colored mask. The man is also believed to be Hispanic or light-skinned African American. He is approximately 5’10’’ to 6 feet tall and weighs 200 pounds.

The men reportedly left the area in a red SUV traveling northbound on Route 31 with an undetermined amount of money and cigarettes. The clerk did not sustain any injuries in the robbery.
