Oswego Fire Chief Takes Pies to the Face
The fire chief promised that if the school brought in 950 toys, they could put a pie in his face. The school brought in 1,200.
OSWEGO, IL — If students at Thompson Jr. High School brought in 950 toys, Oswego Fire Chief Michael Veseling agreed to take a pie in the face in front of the entire school.
The school brought in 1,200 toys and Veseling took more than one pie to the face.

The Oswego Fire Department showed up Dec. 18 as promised and put on some relay races for the students who were eagerly awaiting the pieing.
More than 1,000 people were in the assembly and witnessed the fire chief receive three pies to the face from the students.

While Veseling was having a little trouble seeing, there were plenty of firefighters on hand to add a few extras pie to the chief’s face.
