• 3 men wanted after Mariano's worker tricked out of $73K in alleged Chase bank scam (abc7chicago.com) — Palatine police have issued nationwide arrest warrants for three men accused of scamming a local Mariano's worker out of $73,000 in an alleged Chase Bank impersonation scheme. The victim, a Palatine-area frontline worker, has recovered only part of his savings, while police urge residents to be wary of similar spoofed bank calls and ask anyone with tips to contact them.
   

• Conant's 'Me for We' mentality pays off in win over Palatine (dailyherald.com) — Palatine High's football team came up just short in a 21-14 loss to Conant during the Mid-Suburban West opener in nearby Hoffman Estates, dropping the Pirates to 2-3. A late Palatine touchdown tied the game before Conant's go-ahead score and final-minute interception sealed the result in a hard-fought matchup.
