• 2 Charged After Officers Punched, Kicked, Spat On: Palatine Police (patch.com) — Palatine police say two local residents face multiple felony counts after officers were allegedly punched, kicked and spat on during a disturbance call Sunday on East Osage Lane. Both defendants and officers suffered minor injuries, and the pair now have separate court dates later this month at the Rolling Meadows courthouse.

• Harper College Educational Foundation awards grants to four local nonprofits (dailyherald.com) — Two Palatine-focused nonprofits just received $20,000 in grants from Harper College's Community Impact Fund to boost food security, transportation help, and digital skills for local adults. The Palatine Township Foundation and United Palatine Coalition will use the money to reduce everyday barriers to work, education, and stability for residents across the area.
