• 'It's like a family here': Longtime customers mark last call for Durty Nellie's (dailyherald.com) — Durty Nellie's, a longtime nightlife staple in downtown Palatine, has poured its final drinks, drawing loyal customers and locals for an emotional last call. Regulars, staff, and even a Palatine village council member reflected on decades of concerts, celebrations, and community events as the bar closed. The site is slated to become a Big Grove Brewery after renovations next year.
