Accused Lemont Stabber's Bail Set At $30,000
Lemont cops said stabbing evolved around recent domestic incident.

LEMONT, IL -- Bail was set at $30,000 for a 52-year-old widower accused of stabbing an acquaintance on Thursday. Joseph Lund, of Lemont, appeared before Cook County Judge Peter Felice on a felony charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and criminal damage to property.
A former female friend of Lund was driving with her boyfriend and child around 8:30 a.m. Thursday on their way to her cousin’s house. Along the way, they spotted Lund’s car. The woman told her boyfriend to keep on driving. As they pulled up in the 700 block of Ledochowski, Lund pulled up behind them, the prosecutor said.
According to the charges, Lund shoved the woman to the ground. He reached into the car’s center console and smashed her cell phone on the ground. Lund started yelling at her boyfriend about a recent domestic incident. The boyfriend got out of the car when Lund pulled out a two-inch folding knife, the prosecutor said.
