3rd Bank Robbery In 1 Week: Plainfield's BMO Harris Hit, FBI Says
BMO Harris is the third Plainfield-area bank — all on Route 59 — to be robbed within a week.

PLAINFIELD, IL — BMO Harris in Plainfield was robbed Friday, according to the FBI. It's the third bank on Route 59 in Plainfield to be hit in a week.
The suspect walked into the bank, located at 15101 S. Route 59, around 4:15 p.m. Friday and presented a note to a teller demanding funds. Officials said the man did not display or imply he carried a weapon.
The FBI described the suspect, who remained at large as of Saturday, as a man in his 30s with a medium build. He wore a dark zip-up hoodie, dark baseball hat and blue surgical mask.

Plainfield-area Heartland Bank and PNC Bank, located about three miles apart on Route 59, were robbed Oct. 29 and Oct. 31, respectively, Patch reported. In both instances, the suspect passed a note to a teller demanding money.

The FBI confirmed the first two robberies were likely related, but did not say if the BMO Harris incident is related. Officials did not respond to Patch's request at the time of publication.
No injuries were reported in any of the three robberies.
