Champion Creek Upgrades Include New Equipment, Resurfaced Basketball Court

PLAINFIELD, IL — Champion Creek Park, a roughly 7.6-acre green space in Plainfield's subdivision of the same name, is set to undergo renovations this year, officials announced.

Here's a look at what improvements are in store for the park, located at 24100 W. Champion Drive:

  • Updated play equipment
  • Resurfaced half basketball court with a new goal and net
  • Fresh paint job on the existing shelter
  • New site furniture and picnic table
  • Landscape additions
  • New backstop in the same location
  • Partial sidewalk replacements and ramps for ADA upgrade

Construction is scheduled to begin in October.
