Plainfield Hall Of Famer's Murder: Trial Moves Forward

A 54-year-old Hinsdale man is accused of the ambush murder of Plainfield High School graduate Nate Fox.

HINSDALE, IL — The trial of a former tech CEO accused of gunning down Plainfield Central High School Sports Hall of Famer and former pro basketball player Nate Fox in 2014 is set to get underway. Jury selection is slated for this week in the trial against 54-year-old Jeffrey Keller of Hinsdale.

Fox was shot to death outside his Bloomingdale home on Dec. 22, 2014. Prosecutors believe Keller's motivation was a "made-up love triangle," alleging that Keller falsely believed Fox to be a romantic rival. Prosecutors say Keller believed Fox was having an affair with a woman that Keller was "emotionally involved with." Authorities have said the woman worked with Fox but was not involved with him.

Fox, 37, was a 1995 Plainfield High School graduate and former pro basketball player in Europe. He was engaged to be married at the time of his death.
