“This is a tremendous victory for the team, for the coach. It’s a tremendous victory in the sense that they were able to secure the Stanley Cup at home in Chicago for the first time since 1938,” Mayor Rahm Emanuel said Tuesday. The mayor attended Monday night’s game. “It meant as much for the players to win for their fans as it meant for the fans to be able to see it here in the city.”

The Blackhawks will be taking a celebratory lap around Wrigley Field Tuesday night around 6:30 p.m. — along with the Stanley Cup — prior to the Chicago Cubs game against the Cleveland Indians. The game is scheduled to start at 7:05 p.m.
The cup was spotted today at Phil Stefani’s 437 Rush restaurant in Chicago as Blackhawks executives ate lunch. Patrick Sharp brought the cup to his North Side mansion today, too, where it spent time on his sun porch.
