Bluebell Festival Planned In May In Romeoville

The Village will designate the Virginia Bluebell as Romeoville's official flower.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — To celebrate the designation of the Virginia Bluebell as Romeoville's official flower, the Village will hold Bluebell Festival on May 2.

The festival will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at O'Hara Woods Nature Preserve, 524 Belmont Drive.

According to the Village, activities will include coffee and food trucks, a hike through O'Hara Woods led by a conservation ecologist, a Birding walk conducted by the Will County Audubon Society and more.

There will also be vendor tables and giveaways. The festival will serve as Monarch Kit pick-up day; residents can order Monarch planting kits by April 18).
