• Plainfield Man With 'Violent Tendencies' Denied Release After Romeoville Bar Attack: Prosecutors (patch.com) — Romeoville residents are learning more about an August 15 incident at On The Rocks, where police say a woman was injured during a domestic dispute and a Plainfield man was arrested. Prosecutors successfully petitioned to deny him pre-trial release, citing prior domestic battery history and other pending criminal cases, with another hearing set for Sept. 8. 
• Senior Services Of Will County Stopping Activities, Leaving Romeoville Facility (patch.com) — Romeoville seniors face major changes as Senior Services of Will County prepares to shut down activities and leave the Ovation Center by Sept. 30 after filing for bankruptcy. Village officials say they're disappointed but optimistic, noting strong interest in the high-visibility Weber Road property and its potential new uses for the community.
