• Round Lake Beach teen accused of possessing untraceable short-barrel rifle in Libertyville while on way to movie theater (lakemchenryscanner.com) — A 19-year-old from Round Lake Beach was arrested in Libertyville after police say they found a modified, untraceable rifle in his backpack during a late-night traffic stop while he and several juveniles were headed to a movie theater. Prosecutors sought to detain him, but a judge released him with monitoring, weapons restrictions, and drug and alcohol testing while the case proceeds.
