A Calumet City man was arrested in connection with an October crash that killed a 3-year-old boy and two others in Englewood.

CHICAGO – Police have charged a south suburban Calumet City man in connection with a fatal car crash in the Englewood neighborhood last month that claimed the lives of a three-year-old boy and two 24-year-old men. Christopher Carter, 27, faces three counts of felony reckless homicide - motor vehicle, three counts of felony murder - strong possibility of death and one count of felony aggravated discharge of a firearm - occupied vehicle as well as traffic citations after police found him in the 600 block of East 38th Street on Nov. 2 and arrested him without incident.
Carter's actions as the driver of a speeding car led to the deaths of the toddler, Cabari Turner of Gary, Indiana and Antonio Cowan and Chrishawn Turner, both of Chicago, according to police. He drove his vehicle "at a high rate of speed" into a 2009 Ford Fusion near the 6900 block of South Bishop at around 7:39 p.m. on Oct. 1, police said.
The impact of the crash sent the second car into two others.
