National Grocer Eyeing Former Blue Goose Market
City officials have not yet announced the name of the business.

ST. CHARLES, IL — City officials are working to bring a "premium national grocer" into the former Blue Goose Market in St. Charles, the Kane County Chronicle is reporting.
City officials have not yet announced which grocer is eyeing the property but the business did recently file paperwork with the city looking to put up a 20-foot sign outside the store at 300 S. 2nd St., according to the article. The company that filed the application, SDGFTU, LLC, is managed by Matthew Hendy of Chicago.
A public hearing is set for 7 p.m. on May 2 in the council chambers at city hall.

The new business could move into the space formerly occupied by a longtime St. Charles staple, the Blue Goose Market. The Blue Goose closed after more than 90 years in business last March and the building has been vacant ever since.
