2 Children Hospitalized in School Bus Accident in Vernon Hills

Two children aboard a school bus in Vernon Hills were taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries after their bus was rear-ended by a car at 8 a.m. near Camden Place and Evergreen Drive, according to the Countryside Fire Protection District.

The children were treated at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. Four children were riding the bus in Hawthorn School District 73. The other two were put on another bus and taken to school. The bus and car sustained minor damage.
