Theology Student from Libertyville Charged With Soliciting Child

A 22-year-old seminary student from LIbertyville has been arrested for indecent solicitation of a child.

Dario Spasic, of the 32300 block of Milwaukee Avenue in Libertyville, was arrested on Sept. 19 after making contact with what he thought to be a 14-year-old boy on a mobile social networking application, according to a Lake County Sheriff’s Office. The boy was actually a detective with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

Spasic, a student at St. Sava School of Theology in Libertyville, arranged to meet with the ”boy” the same day at about 10 p.m., according to the Chicago Tribune and police reports. He was instead met by Lake County Sheriff’s Office detectives.

During an interview with police, Spasic sad he intended to meet with the teen to engage in sexual activities.

During an interview, Spasic told detectives his intentions were to meet with the 14 year old boy to engage in sexual activities.

He is charged with indecent solicitation of a child and is being held on a $100,000 bond. He is next scheduled in court on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.
