LTHS Attack Report Secret Under State Law
Such documents must be withheld in their entirety, the village says.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Citing state law, Western Springs is keeping secret its report on the attack of a 14-year-old Lyons Township High School student in late April.
Patch sought the report through a public records request. On Monday, the village pointed to a state law that barred the disclosure of arrest records for juveniles. Such documents must be withheld in their entirety, according to the village.
Under state law, only a limited group of people, including victims and their lawyers, can access the documents in question.
