Pets Orphaned By Hurricanes Harvey And Irma: DuPage County Animal Care And Control Seeks Donations
Donate food, blankets, litter, and other items to DuPage County Animal Care and Control to help pets left without homes.

WHEATON, IL — The havoc caused by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma left many pets without homes in Texas and Florida. Shelters throughout the United States have taken in as many of these displaced cats and dogs as possible, but they struggle to find enough resources to care for them. To help shelters in Texas and Florida, DuPage County Animal Care and Control is asking for residents to make donations.
These pets need a lot of supplies to get back on their feet! You can donate the following items.
- * Canned and dry dog food
- * Blankets
- * Towels
- * Treats
- * Cat Litter
- * Petco and PetSmart gift cards
DuPage County Animal Care and Control will have a donation table set up at their Fall Festival Sept. 16 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Residents can also donate these items at DuPage County Animal Care and Control, 120 County Farm Road during the week during regular business hours.
