Registration To Close On Sept. 19 for Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans Golf Fundraiser

The Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans 12th Annual Golf Outing & Texas BBQ Fundraiser

The Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans announced that registration will close on Sept. 19 for its 12th Annual Golf Outing and Texas BBQ Fundraiser. The event, which takes place on Friday, Sept. 29 at Bloomingdale Golf Club, features 18 holes of golf in a team scramble format, beginning at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start. A complete Texas BBQ dinner follows golf at 2:30 p.m. A limited number of sponsorship opportunities, ranging from $150 to $5,000, are also still available.

Golfers can register online at www.helpaveteran.org at discounted rates of $540 per foursome or $140 for an individual golfer, which includes golf and the dinner. A limited number of dinner-only reservations are available for $50. The cost for mail-in registration is $550 per foursome or $150 for an individual golfer. Additional information on sponsorship opportunities is available on the MSHV website. Potential sponsors also may contact Lynne Rowe at 630-871-VETS (8387), ext. 613 or via email at lynne@mshv.org.

"Play is limited to the first 144 paid golfers, so we encourage everyone who hasn't yet registered to do so quickly," said Jane Tyschenko, MSHV Executive Director. "We also ask interested businesses and individuals to help sponsor our event, so that every dollar we raise can go directly to helping at-risk veterans and their families. There is no better way to support these heroes who have served our nation."
