• Record ready to tee it up with its supporters for a sixth time (therecordnorthshore.org) — Wilmette readers are invited to support their local newsroom at The Record Open VI, a charity golf outing on Sept. 30 at The Evans at Canal Shores in Evanston. Proceeds fund The Record's nonpartisan coverage of communities from Wilmette through Highland Park, with golfers getting 18 holes, a meal, drinks, and prize opportunities.
